Setting Up Your Funding Method

 

Each time you make a payment (payables) or pay employees (pay runs) with Telpay, you will be prompted to fund your payments. 

 

Go to Company Preferences and select Funding Methods.

Send Funds

You can send an EFT or funds transfer from your online bank account to Telpay and get next business day payments (payables) or pay run (payroll direct deposit) payments in two business days. For this funding method, you must send the funds to Telpay as follows:

  • One (1) business day before the payables payment date.
  • Two (2) business days before the pay run payment date.

Advance Debit

The Advanced Pre-Authorized Debit funding option is only available to previously approved Telpay accounts. Your account will be debited and your payments (payables) or pay run (payroll direct deposit) will be made when your funds arrive at Telpay.

  • For payables - It will take three (3) business days for the funds to clear through the banking system. You cannot schedule payments within this 3-day window.
  • For payroll - It will take four (4) business days for the funds to clear through the banking system. You cannot schedule payments within this 4-day window.
