How to Set Up Two-Factor Authentication on Telpay Online
Two-factor authentication (2FA) enhances your account security by adding an additional layer of verification during login. Follow these steps to enable and set up 2FA on your Telpay Online account.
Note: Only Approvers and Admins can update the 2FA status of a company.
Step 1: Log In and Navigate to Company Preferences
- Log in to your Telpay Online account.
- Go to your Dashboard.
- Select the company you want to enroll in two-factor authentication.
Step 2: Enable Two-Factor Authentication
- In the selected company’s dashboard, click on Company Preferences.
- Navigate to the Preferences and Settings tab.
- Locate the two-factor authentication option and click Enable.
- Click Save to apply the settings. Now, 2FA is activated for every user associated with this company.
Step 3: Complete the Authentication Setup
- Log out and go back to the Telpay Online login page.
- When prompted, use either Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator on your mobile device.
- Open your Authenticator app and scan the QR code displayed on the screen.
- Once scanned, your Authenticator app will display a verification code.
Step 4: Log In with 2FA
- Enter the code from your Authenticator app.
- (Optional) Check Trust this device if you’re logging in from a regular device like a work computer. This option allows you to skip 2FA on this device for 90 days.
- Click Continue to complete the login.
Note: If you log in from a different device or location, Telpay Online will require you to complete 2FA again to verify your identity.
