As part of our regulatory obligations to the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC), we are unable to accept funding of payments from a source not listed under a customer's Telpay profile.
The funds should originate from the bank account verified by Telpay when the customer's account was approved. Where funds are received from the same entity but from a different source recorded on the customer profile, Telpay reserves the right to hold the funds to verify the funding source, resulting in delays in processing customer's payments.
If we identify the funds were sent by third-party or different entity, they will be returned to the entity through the channels in which Telpay received them. Should this occur, we will notify the primary user of the Telpay account.
